Blogging because everyone else is doing it.

I'm blogging because I am making my students do it. There's really no other reason. I don't believe that I have any special knowledge to impart about writing or teaching or the teaching of writing, but I do know that I'm sort of good at them. Still, I am a firm believer that if I'm making my students do it, I should do it too. Let's see what happens.
